Niger hosts 19 Basketball teams in Bago National division one

The Niger State Sports Commission has been granted the hosting right of the National Basketball division one Savanah conference from Sunday 23rd November- 30th of November, 2025 in Minna.
Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission,. Danjuma Abdul Masu disclosed this while speaking to Sports writers on the level of preparation at the 123 gym in Minna on Wednesday.
The Chairman explained that, the State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has given his backing to the hosting of the National Basketball championship inorder to showcase the rich cultural and tourism potentials of the State.
He decried the decline of Sporting activities in the State, stressing that, the Commission is out to correct the anomalies.

Masu said all hand are on deck towards ensuring a hitch-free competition in Minna.
” We want to use this championship to test run our readiness of our facilities and capacity to host the nation in 2030 during the national Sports festival “
He assured that, the state Basketball team is determined to gain promotion to the elite premier league.
