NECO releases 2025 june/ July SSCE results with 60.2% success

The National Examination council  has released the result of  the  june/ July 2025 senior secondary schools certificate examination internal .

The Register and chief executive  of NECO professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi  announced the result in a press briefing at the headquarters in Minna on Wednesday. 

Professor Wushishi who started as a validatory  said his first tenure may be coming  to an end by 12th July 2026.

The result wich is coming 54 days  after the last written paper, as the examination  commence on Monday 16th June to Friday 25th July 2025.

” it is instructive to note that efforts are made to reach out to all Universities and other higher institutions to ensure that they wait until the results from all examination bodies are released before releasing their admission”

” The practice with this before now is that ,  we released the results 90 days after the last paper, this time we had very serious challenges and lapses responsible for this delay”

On the examination, the Registrar disclosed that,  a total of 1,367, 210 candidates registered for the examination, representing 685,514 males and 681, 696 Females.

He However  said a total of 1, 358, 339 candidates actually sat for the result.

According to him, a further breakdown, shows that 680,229 male students wrote the examination as against the 678,047 female students that sat for the examination. 

He explained that,  a total of 818, 492 Students score five credits including English and mathematics in the examination which he noted represent 60.26 percent success rate. 

However, a total of 1, 114, 496 candidates obtained five credits irrespective of English and mathematics in the examination representing  84.26 percent. 

On the number of malpractice, the Registrar  disclosed that, a total of 3,878 cases of malpractice were recorded in the examination as against the 10,094 cases recorded in 2024 signifying a decline of 62.58 percent.
