LG polls: Women Group backs Lola for Bogoro Chairmanship

A group on the platform of Women Home Makers Multipurpose Cooperative,WHMMC, on Monday vowed to back Simon Para Lola for Bogoro local government area Chairmanship position.
Recall that, the Bauchi state local government area elections are scheduled to hold 10th of August 2024.
The group affirmed Lola as their sole candidate for the 2024 Bauchi LGAs election.
They made this known shortly after in a meeting held at the weekend in Bauchi state.
The leader of the women’s group, Mrs. Margret Folmi Haruna said that the decision to back Simon Para Lola was because of the contribution to women of the local government area.
They expressed confidence that Lola will make sure that women are carried along in the governance of Bogoro local government area if elected as chairman.
Haruna recalled that Lola has also been empowering women with skill acquisition such as tailoring, catering, saloon and others in order for women of the local government area to be self-reliant.
“We will fully support him in all his activities during this period of election. Adding that We are with him and will remain with him”
“Among all the aspirants, Arc Simon Para Lola is the best candidate and we preferred him to be the chairman of the local government because of his humbleness and compassion on people particularly women”
“We will use our energy and resources to go across all the 13 wards that formed Bogoro local government in order to see the gentlemen win the tickets.
She assured that the group will promote the objectives in their various Communities and ensure that it is realised for the betterment of the people of Bogoro.
Haruna noted further that the members of the group will support the aspiration of Simon Para Lola to emerge as the Bogoro local government chairman under the platform of the peoples democratic party, PDP.
The leader of the women group. however urged the good people of Bogoro to join them in realising the dream of making Simon Para Lola the next chairman of Bogoro local government area in order to witness massive development in the area.
