LG polls: councillorship aspirant, Jonathan vows to attract development, if elected

A councillorship aspirant in the ongoing local government election in Bauchi state, Godiya Jonathan, contesting under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the weekend vowed to attract development in his Mwari Ward, Bogoro local government area of Bauchi State, if elected as councilor.
Recall that the Bauchi state local government election is slated to hold on 10th August, 2024.
Jonathan made this known while fielding questions from newsmen in Bauchi, noting that Mwari ward needs serious development, which according to him will alleviate the suffering of the people of the area.
“I know that Mwari is one of the biggest Ward in Bogoro local government area, but if voted for me, I will try my best to bring change for the development of the Ward.
Jonathan, a business mogul noted further that he will not relent in providing social amenities and essential tools that will uplift the standard of living of people in the area.
He lamented the level of poverty in the area and vowed to contribute his quota to ensure a high level of improvement in the living standard of many residents in the community.
Jonathan however, urged the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to allow him fly the ticket of Mwari Ward in the forthcoming councillorship election in the state.
“The popularity of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will mar the chances of the APC, LP and other strong political parties in Mwari Ward, Bogoro LGA” he stated.
