IGP training workshop : Police urge to be courageous during crises

As the third day of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun Capacity Building Training/Workshop holding in Awka, Anambra State capital, enters 3rd day, the Officers and Men of the Nigeria Police Force, at the training workshop, have been urged to be courageous during confrontation and crises period.
The advice was giving as the state command focused on the topic, Emotional Intelligence, Professionalism, and Tactical Restraint during confrontations.

Participants were equipped with practical strategies for remaining calm under pressure, de-escalating tense situations, and making sound decisions in the line of duty, reinforcing public trust while ensuring officer safety.
The session emphasized that courage is not only shown in force, but in composure, discipline, and respect for human life.
Recall that the state Commissioner of Police, CP, Ikioye Orutugu, had on the first day of the workshop commended the IGP for giving the state command the opportunity of having the workshop assuring him that a lot would be learnt from it to enhance police duty in the state.
