If Tinubu empowers us, we will vote for him in 2027 election -cooperative

In their bid to benefit from Federal Government empowerment program and dividends of democracy, thereby sacking hunger, mothers, fathers, youths and elderly, trouped out in their large number at Abatete Socialites Club hall, Idemili North Local Government area, Anambra State, to get registered as members of World Trade and Investment Cooperative Society Ltd, (WOTICCOM.

Addressing the gathering, the first Vice President, National Cooperative Insurance Society of  Nigeria, Edwin Chukwuemeka Ezeugwu, who said he represented the company expressed satisfaction with the large turn up of the people in the area.

According to him, “We are here to get cooperators from the grassroot  and empower them because these are people who vote during election and after the election they are abandoned by those they voted into power and eat dividends of democracy alone.

“They forget the grassroot and share the dividends of democracy,  so through this cooperative Society we bring to their door step, we will be able to ensure they are empowered by the Federal Government and that is why they are registering to have their names in Abatete like we are doing in other communities.

“Apart from Federal Government kind gesture through the provision of tricycles, agricultural machinery, tools, among others to farmers especially those who are in cooperative society, we pay glowing tribute to wife of former governor of kogi state, Ajah Fatima Adams, for her empowerment of the people who could not afford to equip themselves with the needed items,” he stated 

Earlier in his speech, the Abatete branch chairman of the World Trade and Investment Cooperative Society Ltd, Uche Rogers Nebuwa, commended the National matron, Ajah Fatima Adams for her motherly care and empowerment of the downtrodden.

According to Nebuwa, “I was elected as the President of the cooperative Society in 2013 and was re-elected in Abuja last year. President Tinubu wants to empower people through our cooperative Society with tricycles, agricultural machinery, tools, among others to boost agricultural produce 

“As long as Tinubu empowers us we will vote for him come the 2027 Presidential election. The wife of former Kogi governor, Ajah Fatima Adams is our National matron.

“On a more serious note, Vehicle Inspection Officers, VIOs should stop disturbing our drivers/vehicles. We have a court order that stopped them from disturbing us as a third party in the Insurance scheme.

“These drivers are members of Natural Cooperative Insurance Society of Nigeria. It is an order from the court which must be obeyed,” he fumed.

Nebuwa who is also the Anambra state branch chairman of Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF,  expressed satisfaction with the large turn up of the people of Abatete stating that the time has come for them to benefit for all they have suffered for. .

In their different remarks, the woman leader of the cooperative in the area, Mrs Ngozi Anisiobi, Imo state representative of the cooperative/CJTF commander, Uzodinma Elijah Njoku, Salome Nkechinyere Njoku, Chukwujekwu Muoedu and Osogu Christian Onyebuchi, all expressed satisfaction with the formation/inauguration of Abatete branch of World Trade and Investment Cooperative Society Ltd.
