Nwifuru applauded his wife, Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru for establishing the Better Health for Rural Women, BERWO, a platform, he acknowledged, has brought hope to the rural and indigent women.
The governor, Nwifuru who condemned the ongoing campaign for gay rights in some parts of the world, said: “I am delighted to frowned at the ongoing campaign for gay rights in some parts of the world.
He commended the President’s wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu for initiating various social programs on the Renewed Hope Initiative, describing it as laudable.
Earlier in a remark, the wife of the Governor, Mrs Uzoamaka Nwifuru said her foundation is keenly committed to investing in Ebonyi women by empowering them and eliminating all forms of violence against women and children.
“The inclusion of women in these vital areas of Governance and administration at various levels, is a testament of the truth that women are catalysts for progress, in fact, no other State is on such a speedy wave of development like Ebonyi State.
“And so, I appreciate very deeply, my darling husband, Father and Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru” she stated.
