Group wants Bago to fulfill housing promise to Niger flood victims

The Campaign for Democracy, CD, a civic right group has called on Niger State Government to expedite action on the building of modern houses for perennial flood victims, especially as the Dams are about to release water.

The North-Central coordinator of CD ,  Abdullahi Jabi in a statement said the call become necessary as a result of the untold hardship of communities living along the flood plans of River Niger.

“We are calling on the farmer Governor,  Mohammed Umaru Bago to fast track the building of the shelter housing scheme he promised the victims of flooding 

” Especially,  those that the flood disaster affected massively in Mokwa local government area to ease their suffering “

On the Nation’s  65 years anniversary,  the pro Democracy group said, despite mirage of challenges,  the country has made some giant strides in the last two decades. 

“On behalf of the National President Odili Ifeayan the North-Central Zone National Executive Committee (CD-HRACSN CSO,s) wishes to felicitate with the country president Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of Federal Republic of Nigeria on the occasion of the Nation’s 65th Independence Anniversary”

They also commended Governor Umar Mohammed Bago led APC Administration for all is dedicated efforts towards transforming the State in all Ramification particularly on infrastructural Development Roads,Drinage, Electricity, Education, Health and Human Capital Development given the State a new look among community of State in Nigeria.

” We wish him God’s guidance, more wisdom to be able to accomplish all his aspirations and yearnings to the benefits of all Nigerlites.

However,  in a strange  twist. the  pro Democracy group call on the Governor to rewards members of the group  for all their efforts during campaign, and  after Campaign.

 ” we make bold to say  two Years after our members are yet to be compensated either via Business Patronage/Political appointment to serve in this Government we jointly established together with our Resources

“Time, Energy for social mobilization of the Electorates as well served as Domestic election observers accredited by INEC as CSO,s that ensures the electoral victory at the polls in the year 2023 general elections.

“Sir, kindly consider good numbers of our members with academic qualifications acknowledge and skills for inclusive participations in Governance under your leadership as you reconstituted new cabinet to serve in your administration”
