Gov. Alia to rename street after Ordega, gifts her N50m, house

A Benue Born international football star Franscisca Mlumun Ordega has been honoured by the Benue State Government following Nigeria’s victory at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

This comes as Benue state Governor Hyacinth Alia holds a dinner to celebrate the Star Player  at the New Banquet Hall, Government House Makurdi.

Alia congratulating Franscisca Ordega for her outstanding performance, encourages talented young girls to emulate her resilience.

Governor donated  N50 Million cash  and a three-bedroom apartment in Makurdi Metropolis and a Major street to be named in her honour.

He also awards 10 million Naira to the coach who nurtured Francesca Orderga in Benue to become a star player.

 The super falcons player in her response expressed gratitude for the support from the state and Nigeria, and called for  stakeholders to collaborate in sports development and infrastructure.

She encouraged Benue youths to embrace peace, and love for one another and CUE behind the policies of the Benue state governor to thrive progress.

Technical Advisor on Entertainment and Community Outreach, Innocent TuBaba Idibia, commended the Benue state governor for supporting entertainment and sports.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) also presented a special award to Governor Alia in appreciation of his support for Nigerian football.
