Ex- Lawmakers, stakeholders vow to re-elect Gov. Nwifuru for 2nd term

The former House of Assembly members numbering over fifty and other prominent stakeholders in Ebonyi state has vowed to ensure that governor Francis Nwifuru is re-elected in the forthcoming 2027 general election in the state.

The stakeholders made this known during the official unveiling of the group, ‘Francis Frontiers’ held at the Monablis hotel Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. 

Members of the Francis Frontiers,  drawn from the 13 local government areas in the state, lauded the Governor’s leadership style, noting that his policies and initiatives are targeted for the welfare of Ebonyians.

The Chairman of the group, Chris Usulor, a former governorship aspirant who spoke to newsmen shortly after the event, said the group will always support the governor Francis Nwifuru to succeed in his administration in the state.

He described the group as torchbearers of a noble cause, dedicated to ensuring that the transformational leadership of Gov Nwifuru is strengthened, upheld and advanced.

He said, “This formidable movement is more than a coalition. It is a proof of our resilience, determination and shared aspirations for a greater Ebonyi state.

“Francis Frontiers represents a convergence of minds and efforts, a platform where passion meets dedication, and where vision translates into action. It is a structure built on trust, unity and the common belief that Ebonyi’s progress must not only be sustained but accelerated. 

“We recognize that governance is not a solo endeavor; rather, it thrives on the active participation and unwavering support of the people. Therefore, our collective resolve is to stand firmly behind the extraordinary leadership of Governor Nwifuru, who has continued to redefine governance with policies and initiatives that prioritize the welfare of all Ebonyians.

“With dogged loyalty, we stand decisively in support of Governor Nwifuru’s policies, embracing his vision and leadership as the blueprint for the progress of Ebonyi state. We fully endorse his administration’s initiatives and remain dedicated to ensuring that his transformative agenda is successfully realized. 

“Our unwavering commitment is to promote, defend and uphold the policies and programs of his government, recognizing them as the guiding force that will lead Ebonyi into an era of sustainable growth and development.”

In a remark, the guest of honour, Darlington Ugota, while appreciating the organizers for making him the patron of Francis Frontiers, described Gov Nwifuru’s leadership as people driven.

Ugota, who is also a real estate mogul, stressed that any right thinking person would want to work with a governor who is concerned about his people.

According to him, “the first pillar of leadership is having the people in mind”, which he noted that the Governor has delivered significantly since inception, adding that his leadership impact is felt in various sectors; the infrastructure, human capital development.

He assured the group of his unwavering support and advice where necessary and stressed on peace and unity as a veritable tool for any group to thrive on. 

Ugota equally encouraged members of the group to respect one another and be good ambassadors.

In a remark, members of Francis Frontiers applauded Ugota, for honouring the invitation and his support to the group.
