The former governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has applauded President Bola Tinubu over the appointment of three Benue sons into the Board of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC).

Ortom said that Cosmas Akighir, who has been nominated as Chairman of the NCDC Board; James Abel Uloko, nominated as Executive Director; and Abraham Atotse as member of the Commission’s Board are round pegs in round holes.

He made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen by his media aide, Terver Akase.

Ortom, however, wished Akighir, Uloko, and Atotse a fruitful tenure at the NCDC.

The former Governor is optimistic that the trio will use their wealth of experience to pioneer the nascent Commission and galvanize its operations to benefit the people of the region, most of whom have been devastated and traumatized by incessant attacks from armed herders and other terrorist groups.
