Ebonyi is APC state, no other political parties – commissioner, Igwe

The commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy matters, Uchenna Igwe has insisted that Ebonyi state remained an APC state, and that no other political parties existed.

Igwe made this known while fielding questions by newsmen during the local government campaign rally that took place in Ezza north LGA, at the weekend.

“Ebonyi State is known as APC state and no other political parties. There is overwhelming support from the people, especially in Ezza north. They are giving our great party, APC, and our governor, Francis Nwifuru maximum support.

“I’m telling you that there are no other political parties as far as Ebonyi State is concerned. I’m close to the grassroots and I know what is happening there, there are no other parties” he insisted.

He, however, applauded the chairman of Ezza North LGA, Ogodo-Ali Nomeh for the opportunity to return for the second term in office to serve his people, and wished him well.

“The chairman of the council, Ogodo-Ali Nomeh who is returning back for the second term, is doing well.

Responding on why some council chairmen, especially that of; Ishielu, Afikpo North and Onitcha LGAs were dropped from coming back for second term like others

He said: “Our governor, Francis Nwifuru accommodates everybody, he knows what to do for those chairmen who will not be returning for the second term in office. At the appropriate time, he will call them for service and show them where to serve in the state.

“Those chairmen who are not returning for a second term in office are not complaining because they know that there will be a better appointment for them by the governor,” he stated.
