The President of the Amagamated Ngbo-ejeogu Youths organization, Mr. Micheal Odoh has tasked political leaders and governments at all level to stop giving political position to a known members of cult in the country, especially in Ebonyi state.
Odoh made this known while speaking with newsmen shortly after an event that took place at the Grace Garden and event centre in Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi State.
According to him: “We have been working on many ways to curb cultism and other social vices in Ngbo-ejeogu, Ohaukwu LGA of Ebonyi state. Ngbo-ejeogu Amagamated youths, are a responsible youths organization in Ngbo.
“We have been talking to those in authority to discourage cultism by not giving political position to a known members of cult, because if you encourage those in cultism by giving them political positions, it will encourage younger ones to join a bad group.
“And so far, governments at all level have been listening to us, and we have been recording a tremendous progress.
“Secondly, we ensure that anyone implicated in cultism and other social vices is fully prosecuted. We don’t joke with that, and we make sure that the law is effective, so that people can be deterred from joining cultism” he stated.
Odoh however, encouraged youths in the country, especially in Ngbo, not to emulate bad people, but should partner greatly with people who are responsible and God fearing.
