C’River: ‘we will not protest against Tinubu, but holds solidarity rally, Thursday – APC insist

The members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has vowed not to protest against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, rather will hold a 10 day solidarity protest in support of his administration.

The leadership of the party,APC, led by the Chairman,  Alphonsus Ogar Eba made this known while briefing journalists at the party secretariat in Calabar, capital of C’River state.

The State chairman stated that there will be a 10 day solidarity rally for good governance in the State, instead of protesting for bad governance for President Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu.

He said that they will use the 12km carnival route for the rally that will last for ten days, starting from 1st to 10th of August 2024

“We are the only ones who have applied for a police permit for the use of that route for the good governance rally in the place of protest” he said..

Eba maintained that the presidents’ economic policies may be harsh and biting,he took a difficult and courageous decision for the good of the Nation.

He also stated that the APC Government in cross river is doing well and need to be supported instead of violence protest that will not add any value to the state 

” We should Mr President for the bold initiatives has taken to restructure our economy, we need to give him some time, things will get better, everybody is filling the pains now and at the end we will all enjoy”.he stressed.
