C’River organizes festival of cooking, cultural competition, bikers parade

As part of its effort to promote the culture and rich cuisines of the cross river state, a private organization, known as Kulturama in collaboration with the State Tourism Bureau is organizing a 4 day food and cultural festival in  Calabar the State Capital.

The organizers of the event led by the festival Director, Harmony Ikwoh Oduong made the disclosure while addressing newsmen in Calabar, said the event which is going to be an annual event will add more value to the State’s tourism.

He stated that the festival will include cooking and cultural competition, bikers parade, talents and display of cross river cuisines which prizes will be given to winners at the end of the four day event.

Oduong stressed that the four day event is targeted to be held between 13th to 16th February 2025 and it is going to be every year  immediately after the State Christmas festival 

Meanwhile the Managing Director, Cross River State Tourism Bureau, Mr Ekpenyong Ojoi has disclosed that one of the tourist facilities in the state Marina Resort Generates N8 billion annually to the State and that the tourism sector possesses improved potentials under the current government.

The Bureau has announced plans to launch another cultural festival in the State called Kulturama; the event is going to feature, cooking competition, bikers parade, talents, cultural displays and Cross River State cuisines.

Speaking, to journalists in Calabar on Monday, shortly after the announcement of the Kulturama festival,the Managing Director said the Marina Resort tourism facilities is now very viable and open to investors both locally and Internationally 

“Marina Resort has attracted N8 billion naira to Cross River State through the Private sector. It has  brought the safest, most affordable and safe transport means to and fro Calabar to Uyo, Worth over two billion naira. 

“we’re set to commission an all inclusive entertainment center inside the Marina by December. What we’re doing with Kulturama is to add to what we already have to bring people back to Cross River State.” he stated

The organizers of the festival gave assurances that the culture and talent packed event will award juicy prizes to winners during the cooking, and other competitions lined up.
