Court orders relocation of Tafawa-Balewa LG headquarters, after 14-yrs of crisis

The court of appeal Sitting in Jos the capital city of Plateau State has ordered for the relocation of the local government headquarters of Tafawa-Balewa from Bununu to Tafawa-Balewa metropolis. 

The Nations News reports that the relocation took place 14 years after the former governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda moved  the headquarters of Tafawa-Balewa Local Government Area to Bununu as a result of the crisis.

The Sayawa Community in Tafawa-Balewa LGA expressed appreciation to the Almighty God for answering their prayer and fasting by returning the local government headquarters to its location in Tafawa-Balewa metropolis. 

Timothy Tafare who is the Secretary council of Elders made their thanksgiving at the Tafawa-Balewa central Primary School. said that they have no reason for not to thank God for what he has been doing to the people of Zaar land.

He thanked the legal team for their doggedness, tireless efforts of presenting the case and defending of rights and upholding the principles of justice were instrumental in securing the victory. 

 He said that they have come out today enmass in order to glorify the name of God. 

“God did not returned the local government headquarters of Tafawa-Balewa from Bununu to Tafawa-Balewa metropolis not because of our beauty or education but because of his grace, so we thank him immensely”

He said that “On our own since 2011 we have been battling with prayer and fasting to know that the local government headquarters return back to its position until this days that God answered our prayers through the court of appeal in Jos, Plateau State”

He urged people to continue to forgive each other as God always forgives them. This also made it possible for the return of the local government headquarters back to Tafawa-Balewa. 

Tafare expressed his appreciation to all Zaar people and other tribes in Tafawa-Balewa for praying, fasting and waiting patiently until the returning of the local government headquarters. 

“If the case of relocation of Tafawa-Balewa local government headquarters to Bununu by the Bauchi State Government, the issue of money, we would have surrender but because of God and faithful lawyers that stand fit to defend the case”

Closing remarks, the village Gurumbul Baba Joseph thanked Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of the State for making Bauchi State to leave peacefully.
