Construction of  Boi-Tapshin road reduces rate of death in Maternal Mortality- Community

The Tapshin Community, Tafawa-Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State has applauded governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for constructing 11km road from Boi-Tapshin, which according to them reduced the  sate of death, especially when a woman is in labour.

A resident of Tapshin community, Istifanus Barde who spoke to newsmen during projects inspection by the Bauchi State in the 20 local government areas of the state, said it’s easier now to convey pregnant women to hospitals for medical care.

He said that their community was in a critical condition of bad road, but Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir came to put smiles on their faces by constructing the bridge and completed the roads that linked them with neighbouring communities and Plateau State. 

Barde, further said that because of the road construction, Tapshin community became a town that make their activities to go smoothly.

“many people that this bridge has claimed,  we feel sad and even burst into crying, but glory be to God, that governor Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir came and saved us, which he did that, we thank him immensely for that.

He further said that they were always thinking that they are not people because in the past. no any government take them development to them, except governor Bala. 

Adding that before that the bridge and the road was not constructed, they use to spend one day trekking to the Tafawa-Balewa local government headquarters for work and another activities, which is very bad.

He said that there was a time that someone died, the corpse spent two days without taking it to mortuary because the bridge and the road was not constructed.
