Breaking news: Court sacks 13 Ebonyi council chairmen

….,Declares their election unconstitutional

A federal high Court sitting in Abakaliki capital of Ebonyi State on Tuesday nullified the election that produced the current thirteen council chairmen in the state, declaring their election unconstitutional.

The Nations News reports that the court nullified the 2024 Local government election conducted by the Ebonyi State independent electoral commission, EBSIEC, for disobedience and non compliance to the electoral Act.

Recall that the court had earlier nullified the previous August 2022 election and declaring it null and void over the same unlawful procedure.
