Breaking : Ebonyi Assembly disband, delist Amasiri dev. Centre from law

Ebonyi state house of Assembly on Tuesday has as result of the beheading of four people in Okporojo village by warlords suspected to be Amasiri people, disbanded and delisted Amasiri development centre from the sixty four development centres in the state.
The Nations News reports that the disbandment and delisting of Amasiri development centre from the 64 development centres in the state followed a letter of urgent public importance, sent to the house by the governor, Francis Nwifuru.
The motion for the delisting and disbanding of the Amasiri development centre was moved by the Chief Whip of the house, Okoro Onuma representing Edda South West constituency and seconded by Joseph Unuuh representing Abakaliki South constituency.

The speaker, Moses Odunwa said the house has passed this bill, disbanding and delisting Amasri Development Centre from the 64 development centres of the State.
“And that means, the number of development centres in Afikpo Local government will now be four and no more five.
“And also the number of development centres in Ebonyi state will now be 63 and no more 64” he stated
