Birthday turned bloody in Adamawa, as 2 boys stab 25-year-old man to death

A birthday celebration in Mubi, Adamawa State at the weekend turned bloody as two young men allegedly stabbed a 25-year-old man, identified as Friday Isah, leading to his death.

The suspects, Samson Elisha and Ayuba Stephen, are reported to have attacked the victim during the party following a dispute that escalated into violence at the venue. 

An eyewitness who spoke to newsmen said the atmosphere quickly turned chaotic as efforts were made to rescue the victim and rush him to the hospital.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Yahaya, stated that the Commissioner of Police has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) to take over the case for a thorough investigation.

According to Yahaya, despite efforts by medical personnel to save the victim’s life, Friday Isah was confirmed dead at a hospital in Mubi.

According to him: “The Commissioner of Police has instructed the command’s SCID to carry out a full investigation into the incident and ensure that the suspects are charged to court accordingly,” he said.

The Nations News reports that the suspects are currently cooling their heads in police custody as investigations continue.

The Adamawa State Police Command has assured the public of its commitment to ensuring justice is served and urged residents to remain calm and law-abiding.
