Bauchi: ‘Why we trained personnel on riffle handling, safety precaution in arms bearing -NSCDC

The Nigeria security and civil defense corps, NSCDC, Bauchi state command has explained why the command embarked on the training of it’s 2023 recruited personnel on riffle handling and safety precaution in arms bearing.
The Bauchi State Commandant, CC IELABOYE W .OYEJIDE made this known through in a statement signed and issued to newsmen by the command’s spokesperson DSC Fatima Adamu on Saturday.
The Nations News Nigeria reports that the command made this known, to mark the International World Civil Defence Day celebration, with the Theme: ‘Honour Heroes and Promote Safety Skills’ that took place on Buachi.
The statement reads in part: “The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Bauchi State Command commemorated the International World Civil Defence Day celebration, and also graduated the 2023 recruited personnel in a colourful parade at the Command headquarters, Bauchi.
“During the events, a simulation exercise was conducted by some of the trainees who competed in stripping and assembling AK47, showcasing the functions and importance of handling riffle, safety precaution in arms bearing and how to rescue people in an emergency.
“We seized the opportunity to enjoyed the general public on the need to partner with the Corps by reporting any suspicious movement in the society, because security is every body’s business.
“Further more, the events features a special prayers for the fallen heroes and admonished the 2023 intake to be law abiding and also contribute their quoter in safeguarding their father land” he stated.
The command, however called on the newly recruited personnel to be good ambassadors of Nigeria and Bauchi state at large” he stated.
