‘Avoid panic buying, We will not increase price of fuel- NNPC tells Nigerians

… says the Cause of tightness in Fuel Supply resolved – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd, on Thursday insisted that the price of petroleum product will not be changed.

The Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, Olufemi Soneye made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Abuja.

Soneye said that the tightness in the supply of Premium Motor Spirit currently being experienced in some areas across the country is as a result of logistics issues and that they have been resolved.

The statement reads in part: “we
wish to reiterate that the prices of petroleum products are not changing.

They however urged Nigerians to “avoid panic buying as there is a sufficiency of products in the country” they noted.
