At 66: Ohaneze applauds Gov. Uzodinma for contributing to Igbo unity

The apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide on Wednesday commended the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, for contributing to Igbo unity.
The group made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen by the secretary general, Okey Emuchay, to mark the birthday celebration of the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum, Uzodimma at 66 years.
The group however acknowledged the uncommon large heart of Uzodinma, especially in times of need.
They stressed that When Joel Kroham, the former Deputy President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo died, it was Uzodimma that came to their rescue.
“The same with the Late, George Obiozor, Dara Mbazulike Amaechi, Ben Nwabueze, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, and a host of others too numerous to mention.
“Most recently, Uzodimma in collaboration with the South East Governors demonstrated an exceptional Igbo unity during the funeral ceremonies of Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu”.
“The former President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Nnia Nwodo furthermore recounted that it was Hope Uzodimma, amongst the then Lawmakers, that ever looked the way of Ohanaeze Ndigbo when it mattered most.
They expressed delight that the governor has already changed the Imo narratives by defying the jinx on the Owerri- Okigwe road amongst many others; ‘the multi billion project for a sea route through the Orashi River/Oguta Lake, Degema, to the Atlantic Ocean.
The group on behalf of all the structures of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide “wishes him a happy and momentous birthday”.
