Anambra NSCDC, other security operatives brainstorm on curtailing security challenges

The Commandant, Anambra State Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Olatunde Maku, and other Service Commanders have brainstormed on ways of curtailing crimes in the state.
Maku and other heads of security agencies held a strategic meeting at the NSCDC headquarters, Awka, capital of Anambra State.
The meeting was attended by heads of security agencies in the state, including the NSCDC, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Army, and Nigerian Navy, discussed various security issues and pledged to work together to roll -back the unacceptable security tide occasioned by the increasing threat to internal security by terror elements, economic saboteurs and vandals.
The commanders brainstormed on strategies to ensure maximum security in Anambra State, including the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, intelligence gathering and sharing, strategic deployment of both human and operational resources, and prompt response to emergencies.
The meeting agreed to increase surveillance and patrols in the state to prevent breakdown of law and order. The Host, State Commandant of NSCDC Anambra State, Comdt. Maku, emphasized the commitment of the security agencies to ensure the safety and security of lives and properties in Anambra State.
The service commanders also agreed to engage with local communities and stakeholders to gather intelligence and build trust, and to work together to respond quickly to any security threats.
In a release issued to newsmen by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, PRO, Okadigbo Edwin, the public is assured of the commitment of the security agencies to embrace peace and security in Anambra State.
