Anambra: Mixed reactions trail Soludo’s 2 yrs in office

The Former Secretary-General of Common Wealth of Nations, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former deputy governor of Anambra State, Emeka Sibudu, among others has applauded governor Charles Soludo as he marked his two years in office.

Anyaoku said that the transformation leadership style of Soludo has improved the Social- Economic and infrastructural development of the state.

He stated further that his style has improved security architecture, human capital development, social agenda and reordering of governance in Anambra.

described Soludo as a man of sound intellectual capacity, man of many characters, and humility and urged all residents to be cooperative so as to enjoy all the bounties of the leadership of a visionary leader like Soludo.

On his part, Chief Emeka Sibudu, a former Deputy Governor of the state under Mr Peter Obi said Soludo has done exceedingly well above his predecessors in two years.

Sibudu said he has given prime attention to rural areas, especially in youth development and educational empowerment as he has given top opportunities to poor children to enjoy free education 

Also, Chief Christiana Beluchukwu, a prominent stakeholder in the state, scored soludo above pass mark and encouraged him not to relent.

” Yes, he is doing well but please governor put your eyes in rural areas threatened by erosion menace,” Beluchukwu pleaded..

Mrs Ada Okafor, Assistants Director Pharmaceutical Unit, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hostipal, Nnewi, Ukpo outstation said the two years of Soludo in office was a progressing project.

Okafor said that health sector needed more touch in provision of basic hospital working equipment and human structures to enhance quality health care. 

She said that many Anambra rural dwellers were yet to enjoy quality health medicines due to non availability of principles to make it possibl

Another, Tony Okoye said that government should look in area of opening up  rural areas  to discourage youths migration to urban areas.

” Human capital development is key to development of any state, so developing the rural areas will make poor people in rural areas have a sense of good living.,”he said.

Mrs Patricia Anagor, a retired teacher, said the government in two years has tried but there are rooms for more development in all sectors.

Anagor pleaded to government to give incentive to teachers in rural areas for more quality production.

” Let there be access to primary health centres, transport incentives and home accommodations for teachers in rural areas for optimal education success,” she said.
