Irked by the attack on Oba community civic centre and Police station, Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, last Tuesday, by unknown gunmen, the Federal Commissioner representing Anambra State, Rev. Ukadike Ibeabuchi, Wednesday, demanded for a high powered discreet investigation panel to fish out the perpetrators to face justice.

The Federal Commissioner who hails from Oba, told newsmen that he was shocked and devastated when the news of the attack filtered into his ear as these facilities cost a huge sum to be built by both the community and Federal government.

His words, “I condemn in strong terms the British attack on Oba community civic centre and police station by a yet to be identified gunman. These facilities cost a lot of money to be put in place. I heard that the duo’s facilities were set ablaze in the wee hours of Tuesday and a police corporal killed in the process.

“It is unfortunate that such a barbaric attack will happen at a time when the people in the area are enjoying a peaceful atmosphere restored as a result of water tight security put in place by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

“My people of Oba now live in fear and that is why it is necessary to set up a high powered discreet investigation panel as means of fishing out the perpetrators of this dastardly act to face the wrath of the law.

“Until this is done, fear of uncertainty which has already gripped my people will remain until those behind the brutish act are fished out to face justice and serve as deterrent to would be future offenders,” he stated
