Adamawa Govt. approves #23 billion for the construction of International Conference centre, others

The Adamawa State government has approved contracts worth over N23 billion for key projects in the state.
The projects include the construction of an International Conference and Event Centre, renovation of the Adamawa State Governor’s Lodge in Kaduna, and upgrading of the Adamawa State stadium complex.
The contract approval was announced by James Iliya commissioner of information and strategies shortly after the state executive council meeting presided over by the deputy Governor prof kaletapwa Farauta .
The construction of the International Conference and Event Centre, valued at N18.972 billion, is expected to attract investors, provide a convenient meeting center, and create employment opportunities. The center will feature modern amenities, including a 1,000-capacity multipurpose hall, syndicate rooms, and a 350-capacity auditorium.

The renovation of the Adamawa State Governor’s Lodge in Kaduna, valued at over N614 million, will provide a comfortable and secure accommodation for the governor and other dignitaries. The upgrading of the Adamawa State stadium complex, valued at N1.96 billion, will ensure that the stadium meets international standards and is resistant to wind storms.
The state government has also approved N2 billion as its counterpart contribution to the Rural Access Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP-SU), aimed at improving rural infrastructure and promoting agricultural development.
In a bid to maintain cleanliness and aesthetic appeal, the state government has banned the pasting of posters on public structures, warning that offenders would face the law. These projects demonstrate the state government’s commitment to investing in infrastructure and promoting economic development in Adamawa State.
