The management of the Bauchi State Sa’adu Zungur University on Sunday said that they are yet to release the 2025/2026 admission letters.
Public Relations Officer of the University, Auwal Hassan, who disclosed this in a statement signed and issued to newsmen Bauchi warned applicants to be very careful of fraudsters.
The management of the institution said that their attention has been drawn to fraudulent activities by impostors who are circulating fake admission letters in the name of the University.

“Specifically, a document titled “Provisional Letter of Admission into Bauchi State University, Gadau, Bauchi State for the 2025/2026 Session”has been falsely linked with Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) to mislead unsuspecting applicants.
The university noted further that: “Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi is a distinct institution and should not be confused with Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG). Fraudsters are deliberately exploiting this similarity to deceive candidates”
“Admission into SAZU is conducted only through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and the University’s official portal”
They said that University has not released any admission letters for the 2025/2026 Academic Session outside the official channels.
Adding that “Any demand for payment of fees (such as so-called “acceptance fees”) to unauthorized persons or accounts is fraudulent and must be disregarded”
The University urges prospective students, parents, and guardians to Confirm all admission offers through JAMB CAPS, the SAZU Admissions Office and to report any suspicious communications, letters, or requests for payment to the University’s Security Unit or the nearest law enforcement agency.
The Management is working closely with security agencies to identify and prosecute those involved in these fraudulent activities for genuine admission updates.
