Senator Binos Yaroe, representing Adamawa South Senatorial District, has donated healthcare equipment to the Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) in Kajoli, Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The donation, facilitated through the Border Community Development Agency (BCDA), aims to improve healthcare delivery for residents of border communities.

The senator emphasized that the gesture is designed to provide quality healthcare services to the community, eliminating the need for residents to travel to neighboring countries like Cameroon for medical attention.

The donated equipment includes hospital beds, mattresses, operating tables, surgical equipment, wheelchairs, and sterilizing machines, among others.

The Executive Secretary of BCDA, George Kelly, highlighted the agency’s focus on providing socio-economic infrastructure to underserved border communities.

He noted that the intervention is part of the agency’s efforts to ensure that border communities are taken care of, as they are the first line of defense.

The District Head of Kajoli, Alhaji Kabiru Hayatu, commended the senator and BCDA for the intervention, assuring that the equipment would be properly utilized for the benefit of the people.

Other stakeholders, including the State Government and Local Government officials, also lauded the gesture, noting that it would reduce risks faced by pregnant women and emergency cases in remote areas.

The Facility Manager, Kajoli PHCC, Mr. Muktar Hamman, said the intervention, alongside the deployment of a medical doctor and healthcare personnel facilitated by Yaroe, had upgraded the center to a cottage hospital.
