A human rights activist and Social Critic, who is the chairman of Anambra State chapter of Civil Liberties Organization, CLO, Vincent Ezekwueme, Thursday, embarked on self imposed indefinite hunger strike over the massacre of about 200 innocent people of Benue state by Jihadist Fulani terrorists.
The hunger strike, according to him is to draw the attention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the senseless, barbaric, inhumane and despicable killing of hapless citizens of Benue State by suspected herdsmen, as well as to express his protest and displeasure over plights, predicaments, problems and sufferings of farmers and citizens of the state.
In a press release he signed and issued to newsmen, tagged, “When one suffers directly everyone suffers indirectly”, he pleaded with President Tinubu to kindly give directives to security agents to restore normalcy in Benue State and ensure that perpetrators of this heinous crime against the state are brought to book to act as deterrent to others
