C’River kick- starts E- Government Training for civil Servants

The Cross River State Government has kicked started a three day E- Government Training for Civil Servants in the State.
This disclosure was made by the State Commission for Science and technology, Justin Beshel in Calabar while chatting with our correspondent in Calabar
Beshel stated that the event which started today Tuesday 19th, 2025 in Calabar is a three day event on E- Government Training on ICT and capacity building is co – hosted and sponsored by Korean Government, The Federal Ministry of Communication Innovation and digital economy and Cross River State Ministry of Science and technology
He said the training is benefited by only 6 States in the Country so far and that Cross River State is only privileged to be part of it
Beshel stated that for cross river to be part of the training in Calabar is one good thing that the administration of Governor Otu has done to the people of the State

” When this administration came on board, there were a lot of things that needed to be overhauled and one of them was the civil service, stressing that the present administration is determined to go digital in our communication”.
The commissioner maintained that the importance of E- Government can not be overemphasized as it reduces cost implications in running government offices
Meanwhile the State is training 110 civil Servants on ICT technology from different Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State, explaining that the training would be periodical where some other civil Servants would also have the opportunity of being trained including those in the local government.
