Ebonyi gov. Nwifuru exonerates herdsmen from Nkaleha killings, blames it on criminals

The governor of Ebonyi State Francis Nwifuru at the weekend exonerated herdsmen from masterminding the recent massacre that took place at Amagu village in Nkaleha community, Ishielu local government area of the state.
Nwifuru made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen by the chief press secretary Monday Uzor shortly after a Sunday that took place at the new government house chapel, centenary city Abakaliki capital of Ebonyi State.
He stated that the recent Killings at Amegu Nkalaha Community the Governor disclosed that the preliminary investigation by Security Agencies showed the dastard act was perpetrated by some criminal elements from the community and not herdsmen as alleged earlier.
The governor, Nwifuru described the invasion and the unprovoked killings of the over sixteen innocent citizens of Amagu village in Nkaleha community Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi state as very unfortunate and uncalled for.
He however warned criminals to desist from perpetrating this kind of devilish acts in the state.
