Bauchi Works Commissioner, Ketkukah tours ongoing road projects

The Bauchi State Commissioner for Works and transport,Titus Saul Ketkukah has at the weekend, toured the ongoing road projects in the state.

The commissioner who started the project monitoring exercise on the 29 kilometers Boi, Gambar, Marti and Lere road, enjoined the benefitting communities to fully give the site engineer maximum support towards timely completion of the project.

“The sealant used in the expansion joints (particle board) are not durable enough. Where road will be constructed along rich farm, so top soil should be removed properly”

He advises the project engineer to try his possible initiative to finish the construction of the road as negotiated.

The Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work, suggested that a progress chart be provided. 

During his visitation, he also checked the completed construction road of Bogoro, Lusa, Mallar -11.2 kilometers and Boi, Tapshin 11.6 kilometers which is constructed by the State governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.

The Commissioner for Works and transport  professor Titus Saul Ketkukah expressed his appreciation to the state governor, senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for approving the construction of the roads.

While the principal residents engineer, Ado Shehu said that there’s progress in the work which is now 25% completion. 

The residents engineer said that the work is given at the duration of 36 dry months (about 4 years).

He said that they will try their possible initiative to finish the construction within the time frame of the work.
