NMA urges Gov. Ododo to tackle paucity of doctors in Kogi

The Nigeria Medical Association, (NMA) Kogi State branch has applauded governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for approving the 2024 CONMESS for medical doctors in the State.

This was contained in a communique at the end of the association Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) held on Friday which was signed by the Chairman, 

Abubakar Alhassan; and Secretary, Adaranijo Kolapo, respectively in Lokoja.

The communique noted that the medical Doctors from different affiliates who attended the meeting praised the governor and called on him to supervise the implementation to ensure that the medical doctors are not shortchanged, as already the October salary did not come with the implementation as it was for the civil servants.

“We appeal to his Excellency,  Governor Ododo  to direct the appropriate officers to ensure that the doctors are paid the shortfall to bring  them on the same page with other civil servants in the State”.

They also called on the government to look in the direction of paucity of doctors in the employment of the Kogi State government to improve it for better service delivery.

NMA in Kogi State  resolved to support the programs of government towards improved healthcare delivery in the State.
