Pro-Biafra group, BLD condemns killing of soldiers in Abia

A group under the aegis of Biafran land defenders, BLD, on Saturday condemned in totality the killing of soldiers in Abia state by unknown gunmen.

The National leader of the group, Ndubuisi Igwekani who spoke with The Nations News Nigeria on phone, said the perpetrators are the enemies of Abia people, who are not happy with the achievements of governor, Alex Otti within one year in office.

Igwekani who is also the field commander of the Biafran intelligence, noted further that: “The issue is that those who are not happy with the level of achievements of the new elected governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, and so, what they are trying to do is to destabilize him, but we know their game plans.

He alleged that the recent insecurity in Igbo land, are the handiwork of saboteurs who wants to perpetuate in power by using the blood of their own people as sacrifice.

“Some people who have demonic, satanic and selfish desire wants to use the blood of their own people to remain in power. We are coming towards that, and in no distance time, we are going to expose them. 

“We have said it severally that all these atrocities that are happening in Igbo nation, and if they give us power and authority, we will apprehend this people that are doing this things. This things you see that are happening in Igbo land are the political games of the enemies of igbo people.

“They are the political and economic saboteurs of igbo nation, and now, they have shifted their operation to Abia state, because they have discovered that the governor, Alex Otti is doing greatly to reposition Abia state. Look at the mighty things that the governor has done within one year in office.

Igwekani expressed sadness over the attack and killing of soldiers in Abia state on the day that Biafrans were honouring their falling heroes and heroines.

“I’m here, to rebuke whoever that said that it is IPOB that killed the soldiers, and may the havens expose those people that are responsible for this killing. And anybody who called himself a freedom fighter, who wants to destroy the blood of the innocent people, then that person must wait for the judgement day.

The group, however consoled the Nigeria military for the death of the five soldiers; “we are really sorry for those army people that died on May 30th, 2024” he stated.
