Tinubu is providing exemplary leadership to Nigerians – Vice President Shettima

The vice president of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, has revealed the committed efforts of president Ahmed Bola Tinubu in restoring the glory of the nation’s education and providing exemplary leadership to all Nigerians.

Shettima made this known during the Accelerated Senior Secondary School Education Program, ASSEP, initiated by the North-East Development Commission (NEDC), held at the Bauchi State government house.

The program is in collaboration with the Vice President Office, targeted at reducing the number of post-primary dropouts due to the decline in secondary school enrollment in the subregion, which stands at 15 percent, one of the lowest in the country.

Shettima highlighted that the program emphasizes critical entrepreneurial subjects, as well as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

He reaffirmed the President Tinubu’s dedication to restoring the glory of the nation ‘s educational sector, and providing exemplary leadership to all Nigerians.

Responding, the governor of Buachi state, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, said that “Our sincere gratitude to Vice President, Senator Ƙashim Shettima, who presided over the launch of our accelerated senior secondary school education program. This initiative aims to tackle the longstanding challenges in our education sector”

“I also expressed my administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure, laying a solid foundation for the future of our youth” he said.

The Nations News Nigeria reports that those in attendance to the event includes; members of the North East Governors’ Forum, traditional rulers, and various civil society organizations.
