The governor of Ebonyi State Francis Nwifuru has dismissed the alleged conduct of parallel primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in the state by some suspected faction.

Nwifuru made this known while addressing stakeholders during the ongoing House of Representative party primaries at the state sacreteriat of APC, located at the water works road, Abakaliki, the State capital.

He said: “As you can see that everybody is happy. We did a very noble consultations  with our stakeholders. We had so many stakeholders meeting. Issues were sorted out.

“So there is no need of parallel Congress and nobody is going to conduct parallel Congress.

“Well, you know, this is party. People came to join the party with interests. The question would have been, what did these people do in 2023?

“And what is the evidence of their support? Whether they support you or whether they do not support you in 2023.

“So it is not difficult for me. It is not something that I can say. But it is democracy. It is allowed. And that is what it should be” he stated.
