Gov. Mbah flags off construction of Oji River College of Nursing, hostels

Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Administrative Block, Classrooms and a 176-bed hostel for the Enugu State College of Nursing Sciences, Oji River Campus.
The governor who also flagged off the construction of a 200-bed hostel at the State College of Nursing Sciences, Awgu, performed the function at the two locations, where he reiterated his administration’s commitment to making education and health top priority.

The governor, represented by his Special Adviser on Health, Yomi Jaye, also announced that approval has been given for the renovation of the Administrative block, classrooms and hostel of the Enugu State College of Health Technology, Oji River.
While urging the people of Awgu and Oji River to give the contractors the needed support, Mbah noted that the aim is to admit the first set of students into the Oji River Campus before the end of 2026.
Earlier, the Provost of the Enugu State College of Health Technology, Oji River, Dr Lazarus Ezeugwu described the project as a fresh blood injected into the College, saying it will change the narrative of the school and bring it to an enviable status.

Also, the Provost of the Parklane and Awgu Campuses of the Collage of Nursing Sciences, Peace Anih who expressed gratitude to the governor for making Enugu a reference point, promised to ensure maximum protection of the project.
The contractors were given a period of 4 months to deliver the projects in the two Campuses.
