2027: Adamawa’s political atmosphere heats up, as Vunobolki declares for governorship

The political atmosphere in Adamawa State is beginning to heat up, especially with the official declaration of 1 to contest for governorship in the forthcoming 2027 election.

The Nations News reports that Morris Vunobolki will be contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC.

The declaration took place at the Yobi Conference Centre along Army Barracks Road in Jimeta–Yola, where a large and enthusiastic crowd turned out; Party loyalists, political allies, traditional leaders, youth groups, and supporters from different parts of the state.

 Vunobolki delivered a message centered on leadership with purpose and a vision for a more inclusive Adamawa. 

He spoke about the urgent need to move the state forward by focusing on key areas such as economic growth, improved infrastructure, better education, accessible healthcare, and meaningful opportunities for young people. 

According to him, Adamawa is richly blessed with both human talent and natural resources, but these potentials must be properly managed and utilized for the benefit of all.

Beyond his developmental agenda, he also stressed the importance of unity within the APC. 

He urged party members to set aside differences and work together, noting that only a united party can stand strong and achieve victory in the coming elections.

It was gathered that his call for cohesion was met with nods and applause from supporters who see internal harmony as crucial to success.

Political observers believe that his entry into the race adds a new layer of competition, especially within the APC, where several aspirants are expected to battle for the party’s ticket. 

His candidacy according to investigation is already being discussed across political circles, with many watching closely to see how the dynamics will evolve.

At the event, supporters and stakeholders expressed confidence in his leadership ability, describing him as experienced and capable of delivering progress.

However, analysts point out that the journey ahead will not be easy. 

Securing the party’s ticket will likely depend on building strong alliances, connecting with grassroots communities, and gaining solid political backing.

With Vunobolki now officially in the race, the path to the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State is becoming clearer.
