Easter: Anambra police deploys personnel to flash points, critical locations

In its bid to ensure adequate security of lives and property during this Easter celebration, the Anambra state Police Command has reportedly deployed personnel to flash points and critical locations across the state.
The state police Commissioner. Ikioye Orutugu who personally led personnel to some of the deployment flash points and critical locations, noted that Good Friday symbolises sacrifice, love, and reflection,

and called on Ndi Anambra to imbibe these virtues in promoting peace, unity, and lawful conduct throughout the festive period.
He said that in line with the Joint Security Operational Order already in force, the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has intensified deployments to critical locations, including churches, major highways, motor parks, recreational centres, and other public spaces to forestall any security breaches.
“The Police have also strengthened confidence-building patrols, intelligence-led operations, and stop-and-search duties aimed at deterring criminal elements and ensuring swift response to any emerging threats,” he disclosed.
Orutugu reassured residents and visitors of the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property.

He urged members of the public to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and useful information on any suspicious movements or activities.
