2027: Ex-PDP guber candidate, Odii, others elect new 21-man members of NWC

The 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chukwuma Ifeanyi Odii and other prominent Nigerians have elected new 21-man members of National Working Committee, NWC.

The Nations News reports that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, held their 2026 elective convention at the Velodrome of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

It was learnt that the former governorship candidate of the party in Ebonyi state, Odii led delegates from the state to the 2026 elective convention.

The convention which effectively returned the PDP to competitiveness ahead of the forthcoming 2027 general elections attracted 2,632 delegates from the 36 states and the FCT.

Investigation revealed that Ebonyi State had 52 accredited delegates to the convention which included the newly elected state chairman, Chukwuma Igwe, Senator Igwe Nwagu.

Others are; Senator, Amah Nnachi, newly elected National Ex-Officio, Mazi Moses Idika, Chidiebere Egwu Goodluck and the immediate past National Vice Chairman, Southeast among other.

At the elective convention, Chidiebere Egwu from Ebonyi State was elected the Deputy National Publicity Secretary.

The party, however enlisted the newly elected leaders of the party to include; National Chairman, Abdulrahman Mohammed; .Deputy National Chairman (South), Aaron Chukwuemeka; .Deputy National Chairman (North), Yusufu Akirikwen (SAN);

Also, National Secretary, Anyanwu Samuel; Deputy National Secretary, Kolawale Olabisi; National Treasurer, Odeyemei Oladiran; .and Deputy National Treasurer, Lado Marke., National Financial Secretary, Eyim Henry; Deputy National Financial Secretary, Grema Kyari; National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature.

Others are: Deputy National Organising Secretary, Efere Augustine, National Publicity Secretary, Jungudo Mohammed; Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Egwu Chidiebere; National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN); Deputy National Legal Adviser, Aloysius Uba;

National Auditor, Osuoha Donatus; Deputy National Auditor, Dr Adaba Yatu; National Youth Leader, Ibrahim Aboki; Deputy National Youth Leader, Momoh Bashir, National Women Leader, Prof Ogunshe Adedayo, and Deputy National Women Leader, Hauwa Shinge.
