2027: Artist, Kurmi Joins state assembly race, pledges support in Bauchi

As the 2027 general election is approaching, an Artist, Maxwell Mark Kurmi declares interest to run for the member representing Bogoro constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly.
Kurmi made the declaration during an interactive session with his supporters and journalists in Bauchi. Pledged for people’s support ahead of the election.

The African Democratic Party chieftain (ADC) said his decision was informed by what he described as persistent development lapses facing the constituency.
He said that his ambition was driven by the need to tackle problems of education, youth and women empowerment, agriculture education and healthcare, among other governance challenges.
“As a critical stakeholder who has always been there, I have continued to offer support, and at this critical time, I am coming forward with the best ideas for governance in our dear constituency,” he said.
“The overwhelming turnout reflects our collective commitment to progressive leadership and grassroots development.
I am deeply encouraged by the words of support from the constituents that acknowledged my years of loyalty, consistency, and service to the ADC and its ideals”
He said that “This aspiration is anchored on faith in God and driven by my desire to serve the people of Bogoro with integrity, inclusiveness, and dedication. I believe the time has come to deepen my contribution to party growth and provide effective representation for our people”

Kurmi said to stand firmly for equity, peace, progress, and justice, believing that every voice deserves to be heard and every community deserves equal opportunity.
He further said that the main reason for his aspiration is born out of a deep commitment to serve the good people of the constituency with integrity, inclusiveness, and purpose.
According to him, said that “Together, we can build a constituency anchored on love, unity, fairness, and sustainable development where peace thrives, progress is visible, and justice is upheld for all”
He therefore called on the people of Bogoro constituency to make sure that they take the advantage of the ongoing voters registration exercise in order to give them the opportunity of casting their votes in the next year general election to come.
The aspirant, Honourable Maxwell Mark Kurmi expressed his appreciation to people for encouraging and supporting him, assured stakeholders and party members of his continued consultations across all wards as they work together for a stronger ADC and Bogoro constituency.
