Police arrest 2 female traffickers, as16 yrs-old girl missing, allegedly trafficked to Ghana

A missing 16 year old girl, Miss Oluebube Chukwuma, from Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government area, Anambra state, who was trafficked by two female child traffickers, Uzoma Nwabueze and Precious Monday, is now a source of worry to her family.
It was gathered by The Nations News that the Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command attached to Ozubulu Division, acting on technologically driven information on the evening of 26th January 2026 arrested the two female suspects.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to being involved in the disappearance of the minor and disclosed that the victim is currently in Ghana.
Given the above, the Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu, directed for the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Awka, for discreet and comprehensive investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the relocation of the girl and identify any other person(s) involved.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Tochukwu Ikenga, can(SP), further developments will be communicated to the correspondent as the investigations progress.
