Rights group, HDRA demand Gumi’s arrest, beg Israel, US to join FG to fight terrorists
By Cyprian Ebele, Onitsha
A Civil Society Organization, Human Dignity Restoration Association (HDRA).Human Right Defenders), led by.Jude Achebe, Sunday, urged US, Isreali to join Nigerian government to fight terrorists.
He made this known, while lauding Federal Government of Nigeria and the United States of America, US, for their joint attack on Nigerian’s terrorists, urged Israel to also intervene.
According to Achebe, the involvement of Israel became imperative based on the incessant killing of innocent Nigerians irrespective of Boone’s religious inclination, tribe, language and status.
“I commend His Excellency, President Donald John Trump, of US and His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, of Federal Republic of Nigeria on their collaboration in attacking terrorists in Sokoto State, Northwest of Nigeria on the Christmas day”, Achebe stated.

Achebe who spoke through his Director of Media, Remigus Nnaemeka Amadi, stated that, “The Administration of President Tinubu has exonerated itself from being sponsor of terrorist organization in Nigeria having collaborated with US in flushing terrorists in North western part of the country.
“Prior to the Christmas bombardment, US President Trump, redesignated Nigeria a country of particular concern, sent envoys that visited Benue State Nigeria in confirmation of Christian persecution and warned terrorist to abstain from attacking Christians, but the attack persisted increasingly.
“United States have shown her might which is highly acceptable by well meaning Nigerians in and overseas especially in London.
“HDRA is also calling on the Israeli government to join forces with United States of America in collaboration with Nigeria to flush all brands of terrorists terrorizing all parts of the country.
“Israel should please come to our rescue, insecurity in Nigeria is above what Nigeria government alone can defeat because Federal Government has failed to protect her citizens
“Section 14(2) (b) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 declares that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government; unfortunately terrorists abduct and return students and staff freely without military confrontation.
“Insecurity in Nigeria has a political undertone. Recall that late President Mohammadu Buhari once told former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration that attack to Boko Haram was attack to the North.
“Islamic cleric Sheikh Amed Gumi and other Northern executives have been recorded negotiating with the terrorists, Gumi has been persistent in advocating for the so called terrorists yet Nigeria government has not questioned him.
“It’s only in Nigeria we have seen where a confirmed deadly terrorist is walking freely, being pardoned and allegedly integrated in military formation while some innocent citizens are incarcerated.
“Israel should as matter of urgency come to rescue Christians and those who don’t want to join Islamic extremism,” the group pleaded.
