NSCDC, other personnel vow to combat vandalism of critical Nat’l assets by hoodlums in Ebonyi

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ebonyi State Command and other security agencies have vowed to fight against vandalism of critical national assets and infrastructure by hoodlums in the state.
The state commandant of NSCDC, Francis Nnadi and heads of other security agencies made this known during the CNAI state level security and stakeholders coordination meeting on critical national assets and infrastructure held at the NSCDC headquarters Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The Nations News reports that the meeting was convened by NSCDC Ebonyi State command to brainstorm with other heads of other security agencies on ways to reduce the increasing rate of vandalism of critical national assets and infrastructure by hoodlums in Ebonyi state.
The meeting brought together heads of security agencies as well as federal and state establishments in Ebonyi state to brainstorm on the challenge of incessant vandalization of critical national assets and infrastructure by hoodlums.
It was learnt that NSCDC and others are seriously seeking ways of finding lasting solutions to the menace of vandalism/ attacks on critical national assets and infrastructure as well as other security breaches in the state.
The NSCDC Commandant Francis Chika Nnadi and heads of other security agencies in the state reaffirmed their commitment to safeguard all national assets and infrastructure in Ebonyi state.
They called on the public to provide useful information to them assuring that their identity will not be revealed.
Nnadi further stressed the serious commitment of NSCDC and other security agencies to tackle all security challenges facing the state.
The meeting, however, afforded other participants from EEDC, JAMB, Transmission Company Of Nigeria, NIMC, Radio Nigeria Unity FM Abakaliki and the General manager of NTA Abakaliki the opportunity to report issues of security concerns in their offices.
They also appealed for urgent intervention from NSCDC and other security agencies.

The participants also commended the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps for being proactive in responding to cases of vandalism and threats in the state.
