600 students in Borno benefit from dignity kits distribution

In a bid to support education in Borno State, Ubola Rural Community Foundation have distributed school materials to six hundred students in Shehu Garba and Magumeri Day Secondary school 

The distribution which targeted secondary school students aimed to encourage students to pursue their education and achieve their dreams 

This is the second phase of the Dignity kits project that covers Borno, Gombe and Taraba States respectively 

The Executive Chairman, Ubola Rural Community Foundation Musa Dauda emphasized the importance of education in the development of any country

According to him the role of education can not be over emphasize, hence the need for the foundation to support students in terms of education so that the society can be free From any kinds of violence 

He said they are embarking on such drive in other to also support poor parents who can not afford to carter for their children in school while calling on the both federal, state government and well meaning individual to do everything humanly possible to encourage education across the country 

Earlier the Foundation visited the office of the North East Development Commission in Borno State where the Coordinator of the NEDC Mohammed Umara thanked foundation for coming to aid of students, however assured them of NEDC support in education sector 

Meanwhile, he called on the foundation to improve the quality of the materials so that it can stand the taste of time. Engr Umara said the will work hand in hand with the state government to improve the quality of education across the state

Also speaking, Technical Assistant of the Foundation Omede Ogu said the educational gesture for poor students will be extended to cover all the senatorial districts in the state, however expressed appreciation to the state government and the NEDC for the maximum support and cooperation towards ensuring the success of the distribution of school materials.

Speaking during the event are the representative of the Ministry Of Education Umar and that of the Ministry Of Women Affairs Palmata Umar applauded the giant strides of Ubola Rural Community Foundation for their kind gesture in supporting students in Borno State. However assured the foundation in making sure that the students used the items that are meant for. 

According to them, the state government under Prof Babagana Zulum has improved the education sector in the State. Also, the government has placed the hygiene of the students as its topmost priority 

Also, Ubola Rural Community Foundation has extended their gesture to Gongolong Gonori community where they distributed dignity kits to women, girls and boys. The Dignity kits contain three reusable sanitary pads, toothbrush and toothpaste, notebooks biros, face towel, body cream, hair cream and underwear for both boys and girls

Four hundred assistants to the female students while two hundred to the male. Meanwhile, the items distributed are school bags, Pencil, books, kits and Sanitary part’s, among others educational materials
