2027: Ebonyi council boss, constituents endorse lawmaker, Nomeh for 2nd term 

….empowers constituents with over #20 million, farm inputs

The council chairman of Ezza north local government area, Moses Ogodo-Ali alongside other prominent stakeholders of Ezza north west constituency has, ahead of the 2027 general election endorsed the lawmaker, Innocent Nomeh who is representing the area in the state house of Assembly,  for the second term in office.

The lawmaker, Nomeh, before the endorsement by the teeming members of his constituency released over twenty million for the cash empowerment of twenty six youths, women and men.

The Nations News reports that twenty persons were given five hundred thousand naira each, and seven others received one million naira each to startup businesses of their choice in the area.

The lawmaker also distributed farm inputs; fertilizer, rice sideline and habicite that worth millions of naira to over hundred persons.

Addressing the constituents during the constituency briefing, distribution of farm and empowerment program that took place at his hometown, applauded the governor Francis Nwifuru for the unwavering support and magnanimity towards the people of his constituency.

According to him: in the past two years of our service in the house, we have made meaningful contributions to the legislative process. We have not only supported but have actively argued in favor of several life changing bills, many of which have now been passed into law.

On the area of security, Nomeh said: “We have made it clear that there will be no safe haven for violence or criminality in our land. 

“Anyone found engaging in violent acts must face the full weight of the law. This firm stance has resulted in a significant reduction in crime across our constituency.

“Let it be clearly stated that going forward, any individual found engaging in violent acts, including involvement in cult-related disturbance, will face the full wrath of the law.

Nomeh said he provided four block classrooms at UPE Ogboji and many other infrastructures to many communities in his constituency, and that he is currently profiling various locations for the drilling of additional boreholes.

“We have provided grants to enable many students to pay their school fees in various institutions across the country including those in law schools and given employment opportunities to nine members of his constituency” he stated.

Responding, the deputy national president of the association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, and chairman of Ezza north LGA, Moses Ogodo-Ali said the lawmaker, Nomeh has done absolutely well, and therefore, must be returned for second term in office in the forthcoming 2027 general election.

“Other people have been saying that there is no money in the state house of Assembly, but Nomeh went there, and proved that he is different. And so, all the stakeholders and every member of Ezza North West constituency have endorsed and adopted him as our sole candidate come 2027 election, any other person contesting is contesting by force” he stated.

The Motion for the adoption of the lawmaker, Innocent Nomeh for the second term in office in 2027 was moved by prominent stakeholders of the constituency; Benjamin Otubo and seconded by Benjamin Idoh.

One of the beneficiaries; Aliagu Ikechukwu who spoke to newsmen on behalf of others said: “we are grateful for this empowerment by the lawmaker. This is the first of its kind in Ezza North West constituency. We will pay him back in 2027, by ensuring he is re-elected for the second term in office” he stated.
