NSSC partners Global firm to boost sports development

The Niger State Sports Commission has entered into a partnership with the Global peace concept for the kitting of all the State Sports Association. 

Signing the agreement at the temporary conference hall of the newly established Sports Commission, the partnership also entails an European tour of the State team, Niger Tornadoes in the coming months. 

Chairman of the State Sports Commission,  Hon. Abdul Danjuma Masu attributed breakthrough as monumental event.

” What we are doing here may be confined to this small hall.but the impact extend beyond this environment “

Masu explained that, Sports is big business and the state wants to leverage on the sector to create a Sports economy for the State. 

” Sports is  a big business across the world,  we want to make Sports a business in Niger State “

He noted such partnership are necessary to move the sector forward adding,  what we are doing today will impact greatly on the youths “

The Chairman of the State Sports Commission called on mega conglomerates in the Country to invest more on the sector to tap the vast opportunities that are available in the sector. 

” Big companies, like the Dangote company and others  should invest in Nigeria Sports,  Basketball alone is attracting  over 50 billion dollars in the United States “

He  further noted that, the partnership apart from kitting  will focus on football,  basketball and sponsorship and urged the partners to be committed to the terms of the agreement. 

Speaking earlier,  leader of Global concept,  Ambassador Badomosi Sadiq commended the Commission for availing them the opportunity to contribute to Sports development of the State. 

He assured that,  this organization is committed towards faithful implementation of the terms of the agreement once the official Grey areas are agreed upon a a formal contract is signed. 

According to him, Global concept which is an international brand has presence in several countries and are willing to supply kits to Niger State at a highly discounted rate, and will sponsor an empowerment programme at to cost to the State government. 

He also disclosed that while,  the first phase of the partnership is primarily focused on football and basketball,  the Organization will take the state government owned Niger Tornadoes youth side of a playing tour of Europe. 

” our scouts will take this team on a playing tour to expose the team inorder to attract  foreign  suitors for them, and it will be a  win- win situation for all of us”.
