Niger Police Command to embark on free medical outreach

The Niger State Police Command is to embark on a free medical service to some select communities as part of  events to mark this year’s  National  Police day.

The State Police public relations officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun made this known in a statement signed and issued to newsmen in Minna on Tuesday. 

“We wishes to inform members of the public, most especially Nigerlites and residents that, as part of the activities lined up for the celebration of National Police Day of April 7th, the Police Command shall commence free medical outreach

 ” Especially for members of the public/Nigerlites where some medical tests shall be conducted and drugs could be prescribed or given with professional advice on health issues”

He disclosed that the medical teams shall be available within the metropolis at ‘A’ Div Central Police Station Minna on Wednesday among other places.

In addition to this, there shall be community outreach with stakeholders, sanitation exercise within the community by the Police across the Police Divisions in the State and Schools outreach in conjunction with the POCACOV team in the State.

He noted that, other activities in commemoration of the Police day shall continue at the Force Headquarters level at Eagle Square, Abuja with a Grand parade ceremony on the 7th April, 2025 at the same venue.

 The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, urges members of the public to utilise the opportunity and enjoy the service of the Police medical outreach in commemoration of National Police Day.

He appreciates the partnership between the public and the Police over time, and encourages all to continue to work with the Police through intelligence sharing and other ways to ensure safety of lives and property in our various communities.
