Miss Nollywood international tasks politicians to support flood victims in Kogi

Miss Nollywood international beauty Queen, Hassana Ozohu Salisu at the weekend tasked politicians and other well-meaning stakeholders of Kogi state to support flood victims, as a way to reduce their sufferings.
Salisu who donated some bags of rice worth millions of naira at the Adankolo IDP camp with a call on both national and international communities to come to the help of flood victims.
She made this known during her visit at the IDP camp in St Luke Primary Lokoja to see the current condition of flood victims in the State.
The beauty Queen, while lamenting on the devastating effect of this year’s flood in Kogi noted that, there is urgent need to provide relief materials such as food stuff, toiletries, shelters to ameliorate the suffering of affected flood victims.
According to Miss Salisu, her organization, Sallhassy Empowerment Foundation will continue to support the vulnerable and the needy in the Country noting that this year’s flood in Kogi State calls for more concerns in the future.
“My heart is bleeding seeing the present conditions of these People. Whichever way we could do it, let all and sundry come and help Kogites who have lost all their belongings to this year’s flooding.
“Nothing is too small. Am using this medium to call on the government at all levels, public spirited individuals, including the international community to come to the aid of the People affected by flood in Kogi State. They really need help. It is not a mere media stunt.
‘It is for real. They should come and see things for themselves on how this year’s flood has wreaked havoc on many communities. Look at this IDP camp, the education of these innocent Children is under threat because they can no longer go to school.
It could be recalled that nine out of the 21 Local Governments have been submerged by flood in Kogi State.
Adavi, Lokoja, Ofu, Ajaokuta, Kogi, Idaho, and Ibaji local governments are some of the areas badly affected by the flood disaster in Kogi State.
